Issue
Wi-Fi Onboarding issue
Onboarding OK but sometimes the Wi-Fi connection is lost
Applies to
- Model EFR71222DS
Solution
Onboarding issue:
- Check the unit and router are in close range
- Check if other Wi-Fi devices like security camera or Wi-Fi doorbell can be connected to the same router, if yes, skip 3 - as this is an indication of 2.4GHz is available
- If there are no other Wi-Fi devices in the household, check if 2.4GHz band in your router/modem is activated.
- Check router settings, check the security mode change to WPA3 or WPA2 to see if it will solve the issue. This requires a high-level of computer knowledge - skip this check if you are unable to check these router settings.
- If items 1-4 do not resolve the issue, use hotspot from your phone and check if the product can be onboarded.
Note: If 5 is OK. Please take a photo of your router data label and a photo of your robot vacuum data label and email our Consumer Care team and advise them that the product cannot be connected to your Wi-Fi router but will connect via hotspot on your phone so this can be reported to the APP Support Team for investigation.
Note: If 5 is not OK. Please take a photo of your router data label and a photo of your robot vacuum data label and email our Consumer Care Team and report that the product cannot be connected to your Wi-Fi router or connected via hotspot on your phone.
