Temperature in the refrigerator is too low, freezing in the crisper bins

Issue

• Cooling too much, too cold in the fridge
• The temperature is too low in the fridge
• The fridge is freezing, frost is forming inside

Solution

The factory default settings for the refrigerator is “3°C” and “-18°C” for the freezer.

• If you want to change the temperature, remember to make only small adjustments and wait 24 hours to see if it’s
  correct.

1. Check if Quik Freeze, Quick Chill or Drinks Chill is activated

Refrigerator is too Cold

• Check the temp setting
• Ensure food is allowed to cool before placing inside the refrigerator
• Ensure that contents are not obstructing the Air distributor ducts
• Ensure the door is not held open or is being opened too frequently

Check whether the appliance is cooling correctly.

• Measure the temperature with a thermometer in a glass of water placed inside the fridge. If the temperature is between +3 to +5°C, the fridge is working correctly.
• The core temperature of foodstuffs is more important than the internal air temperature of the fridge, as air temperature will fluctuate during each refrigeration cycle (between the refrigeration compressor starting and stopping).
• Please note that cheaper thermometers may show variations of ±1–2°C or more.
• Adjust temperature to a warmer setting.

Freezing produce crisper bins

• Ensure that fruit and vegetables are stored in the crisper. Items with a high-water content should not be placed near the cooling vents.
• Increase the temperature setting 1 or 2 degrees.
• If you place food within 1 inch in front of the air ports,
  there may be the chance of freezing food.
