How to stack bottles and optimise the space in tall wine cabinet

Solution

Just to give you a bit of background as a standard and historically, all wine cabinet manufacturers have designed their wine cabinets taking the 750mL Bordeaux bottle shape and size (very specific dimensions) as a point of reference – except our latest models with the Perfect Cradle Shelving technology that welcome all types of bottle shape.

With that in mind, we also know that great wine collections are typically made up of a great variety of bottle shapes and sizes and that it is not necessarily intuitive to stack bottles optimally to reach that capacity: that’s why we have a whole page dedicated in our brochure dedicated to this, see below.

In addition to that, I added 2 more options to guide you through the stacking process:

For Bordeaux bottles

The gaps between the slats can be ignored and you can put a row of bottles with the bottom pointing toward the back then put a row on the same level with the top pointing toward the back and push in enough so the door can be closed – this will separate the bodies of the bottles a little.

For different bottle shapes

Put a row with the bottom pointing to the rear in the gaps between the slats. Then stack on top of this. Easier & neater but you lose capacity.

This is similar to your way of stacking.
