Protection of wine labels - Vintec
Issue
How to protect their wine labels from having mould or bubbling due to the high humidity level inside the cabinet.
Applies to
- Vintec
Solution
High level of humidity (>50%) is necessary as it maintains natural cork integrity in the medium to long term. What can happen when humidity goes beyond 70% is that labels can indeed begin to warp, peel and develop mould.
A cheap and very effective solution is to wrap your clean bottles with clingfilm. So, for your bottles, clean them before wrapping them up to preserve the labels.
Some companies are now offering label protection solutions just like Label Skin: https://labelskinenglish.mystrikingly.com/
