Solution

Possible Causes

Lack of regular maintenance - Preventative Maintenance and cleaning will prevent this from occurring.

Constant washing at low temperatures (40 Degrees or less)

The repeated and prolonged use of low temperature and short programs can cause detergent deposits, fluff residues, bacterial growth and biofilm formation inside the drum and the tub. This could generate bad odours and mildew.

Run a cotton Program with the highest temperature and use a washing machine descaling product or Run tub clean program, if available in the setting or through the APP on Connected models.

Excessive foaming, too much detergent

When a lot of soap powder is used or a lot of foam is produced, the level system can get blocked by foam. Excessive detergent use can build up inside the appliance and cause bad smells and stains on clothes.

Run a cotton Program with the highest temperature and use a washing machine descaling product or Run tub clean program, if available in the setting or through the APP on Connected models.

Blocked filter, drain pump jammed or blocked

Make sure the drain pump and filter are cleaned regularly

Blocked drain hose

Disconnect the drain hose from the drain

Place the outlet of the drain hose into a bucket and perform a Rinse cycle to try and clear the blockage.

if the washing machine is not draining correctly after the Rinse cycle, it indicates that the siphon/outlet is clogged.

Lack of regular maintenance of detergent drawer

Make sure to clean the dispenser drawer regularly.

Door closed between washes

After each cycle, keep the door and the detergent dispenser slightly ajar to get air circulation and dry the humidity inside the appliance: this will prevent mildew and odours.

Dirty door seal.

Clean and dry with soft cloth. If mildew is starting to form, clean using ammonia cream cleanser agent without scratching the seal surface.
