"CLE" Appears on My Washing Machine Display

"CLE" Appears on washing machine display at the end of the cycle.

Solution

"CLE" appears on display every 60 wash cycles to remind customers to perform a "Machine Clean" cycle. This is a maintenance cycle to extend the life of washing machine and prevents build-up of mildew and odour in the machine. "Machine clean" cycle is available through the App on connected models. When selecting this cycle, no detergent, chemicals or clothes should be loaded. Once the "Machine Clean" cycle is completed, machine should be powered OFF to reset the CLE warning before running another wash cycle.

NOTE: "CLE" is only a reminder. Even if customers do not run a "Machine Clean" cycle, machine can still be used indefinitely. However, customer will continue to see the "CLE" reminder at the end of each cycle until they complete a "Machine Clean" cycle and power OFF the machine before running another wash cycle.

  • On connected 700 series Electrolux front load washers with serial number up to 50711975 "Machine Clean" cycle is only available through the App which requires customers to connect their machine to the home Wi-Fi network. Customers can then program the App Favourite position on selector dial as "Machine Clean" program in order to select this cycle directly on the machine without having to use the App.
  • On connected 700 series Electrolux front load washers with serial number 50711975 and above, the App Favourite position on selector dial is assigned to "Machine Clean" program by default from factory. Customers can choose to overwrite this App Favourite position to a different program as they wish however if they do so, the "Machine Clean" program will ONLY be available through the App in order to reset the CLE warning when it appears on display.
