Solution

The induction cooktop has 2 different lock settings.

  • Lock - Use this function to prevent an accidental change of the heat settings 'during' cooking
  • Child Lock - Use this function to 'prevent an accidental operation' of the hob

Slide Control

Lock

  • First set the heat setting.
  • Touch the padlock lock symbol
  • The L symbol will then show on all zones for 4 seconds before reverting back to the heat settings displayed.
  • The indicator above the lock sensor will remain on.
  • Timer functions will continue to operate after the lock is activated.
  • To stop this function to enable Changning the heat settings during cooking, touch the padlock lock symbol again, and change the heat settings.
  • Deactivating the appliance will also stop the Lock function.
  • When you turn on the hob again the lock function will no longer be on.
  • The Lock function will need to be manually activated each time you want to use this feature.

Child safety lock

  • To activate this function, first turn the hob.
  • Then hold down the Padlock symbol sensor for 2 seconds. L will then show on all zones for 4 seconds before reverting back to the '0' heat setting.
  • Turn the hob off by touching the sensor again and the hob is now in a mode where the heat settings cannot be accidentally operated. (it is permanently locked).
  • When tuned on the L will be displayed.
  • To enable setting/changing the heat settings during cooking, touch the padlock lock symbol again, and change the heat settings.

To turn of the Child Lock function permanently

  • Turn the hob on and then hold down the padlock symbol sensor.
  • Then switch off.
  • This will bring the hob back to normal operating mode.
  • Child lock is permanently deactivated.
