Hob displays message F
Issue
- Hob displays error message "F"
- Hob beeps and turns off
Applies to
- cooktop
Solution
Induction Technology works on magnetic fields and will only work with cookware that is induction compatible.
Pot detection
This feature indicates the presence of cookware on the hob and deactivates the cooking zones if no cookware is detected during a cooking session.
F indicates - incorrect cookware or too small or no cookware on the cooking zone.
Check cookware is suitable for use for induction cooking.
Cookware is suitable for an induction hob if:
- water boils very quickly on a zone set to the highest heat setting.
- a magnet pulls on to the bottom of the cookware.
- Has the induction cookware symbol on the base
If you remove cookware from an activated cooking zone and set it aside temporarily, the indicators above the corresponding control bar will start blinking. If you do not place the cookware back on the activated cooking zone within 120 seconds, the cooking zone will automatically deactivate. To resume cooking, make sure to put the cookware back on the cooking zones within the indicated timeout.
If F is still displaying on your induction hob this could indicate that there is a fault.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, we recommend contacting an Authorized Service Center.
