Dropped something on hob / impact damage / cracked glass / care / replace and how to organise a repair
Issue
- Impact damage / cracked glass on hob
- How to organise a repair.
Applies to
- Induction Cooktop
- Ceramic Cooktop
Solution
If the glass-ceramic surface/glass surface is cracked, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains. In case the appliance is connected to the mains directly using a junction box, remove the fuse to disconnect the appliance from the power supply. The glass top on the appliance can be replaced, and we would suggest this being carried out by an authorised service technician.
Impact damage is not covered by the warranty so the service visit will be chargeable.
Do not attempt to replace cracked or broken glass yourself as this could lead to injury or further damage to the hob or your property.
Contact an Authorized Service Centre.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, we recommend contacting an Authorized Service Centre.
