Error Code E10 - Top Loader Washing Machine (Westinghouse)
Issue
Error code E10 on control panel display
Applies to
- Top Load Washing Machine
Solution
When the washing machine detects a problem that requires your attention, you will be alerted. The machine will warn you of this problem by displaying a fault code in the digital display, accompanied by “Beeping”
Error Code E10 - Difficulties in water fill for washing
Possible causes
Tap closed – open tap/s
Water flow too low – Water pressure requirements minimum 80 kpa
Note: If installed with cold water tap only, you can only select cold wash cycles
Note: If installed to cold water tap only, you must remove inlet hose with ‘Red’ ends from the washing machine and fit a blank cap with a sealing washer to the ‘hot’ water inlet valve, otherwise water will leak out of the valve.

Check the water inlet filters
If your water is very hard or contains traces of lime deposit, the water inlet filter may become clogged. It is therefore a good idea to clean it from time to time.
To clean the water inlet filters:
- Close the water tap.
- Remove the water inlet hose from the water tap.
- Clean the filter in the inlet hose with a stiff brush.

4. Remove the inlet hose behind the appliance.

5. Clean the filter in the valve with a stiff brush or a towel.

6. Install the inlet hose again. Make sure that the couplings are tight to prevent leakages.
7. Open the water tap.
Water leakage
Drain hose installation wrong – Check the drain hose installation and ensure the hose in not kinked and is positioned correctly
It is important that the top of the drain hose is above the join between the washing machine cabinet and the top of the washing machine.

Position the drain hose to empty the water to a trough, down through bypass or down an extended floor drain.
